Description

Stellar Fungicide

A reliable broad-spectrum fungicide for nurseries and agriculture

Diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, rusts, leaf spots and botrytis can spread quickly through nursery stock and field crops, reducing plant quality and marketable yield. Stellar Fungicide provides an effective preventative option for growers who need consistent, broad-spectrum protection across a wide range of crops.

Stellar contains 250 g/L azoxystrobin and is a Group 11 fungicide, giving strong activity against key foliar diseases in nursery plants, vegetables, fruit trees and broadacre horticulture. It is suited to both nursery production and agricultural systems where clean foliage and reliable protection are essential.

Application and Usage Instructions

General Use

Apply preventatively. Stellar is not designed for curative action, and delaying sprays until disease appears will reduce performance. Ensure thorough coverage of all plant surfaces.

Nursery Stock and Ornamentals

  • Rate: 80 to 120 mL per 100 L water

  • Diseases: Downy mildew, powdery mildew, rusts, leaf spots, botrytis

  • Directions: Apply sufficient spray volume to wet all foliage.

  • Maximum of 2 consecutive applications, with a minimum interval of 14 days.

  • Test on a small group of plants before full-scale use to check for sensitivity.

Vegetable and Field Crops

Brassica Vegetables

  • Alternaria leaf spot: 400 mL/ha

  • White blister and Sclerotinia: 500 mL/ha

  • Apply 7 to 14 days apart depending on pressure.

Cucurbits

  • 80 to 120 mL per 100 L

  • Controls powdery mildew, downy mildew and gummy stem blight

  • Apply at 7 to 14 day intervals with higher rates under favourable disease conditions.

Alliums (garlic, shallots, spring onions, leeks)

  • White rot suppression: 800 mL/ha

  • Downy mildew (leeks): 300 mL/ha

  • Apply 2 to 3 sprays at 7 to 14 day intervals.

Carrots

  • Powdery mildew: 1 L/ha

  • Sclerotinia: 400 mL/ha

  • Apply 10 to 14 days apart, ensuring good foliage coverage.

Potatoes

  • Early blight: 300 to 400 mL/ha

  • Late blight: 500 to 600 mL/ha

  • Apply every 7 to 14 days; suitable for ground or aerial application (aerial for early blight only).

Resistance Management

As a Group 11 fungicide, Stellar must be rotated with products from other chemical groups. Overuse of Group 11 fungicides increases the risk of resistance development.

General guidelines:

  • Do not apply more than one-third of total fungicide sprays in a crop as Stellar.

  • Do not apply more than 2 consecutive sprays before switching to fungicides from a different mode of action.

  • Always follow a preventative spray schedule.
