My name is Tom Hennessey. I'm from the Bush Garden Nursery, and I'm the operations manager here. We are commercial growers - a production nursery if you like - and we supply retailers all down the east coast of varying sizes. Our main area of expertise is finished product patio plants, large indoor products, large colour, topiary standardized products, as well as some hedging and native lines. We've been working with Fernland for around 20-25 years, and I believe that Fernland provides a range of products that suit our needs here as growers and that cover most bases in terms of production nursery needs. As operations manager here at Bush Garden Nursery, I'm constantly looking to progress the business, and we've been going through a growth period in this business for a number of years now. We're hoping that will continue for a number of years to come, and we firmly believe that the support of Fernland and the products they supply and the service they provide our business supports us in that growth.

There have been a number of economic challenges in the last 12 months, and there have been other industry challenges in the last two years. We feel that with the way Fernland has provided us with good service and strong products, we've been able to provide a consistent product for an ever-changing consumer base and an ever-changing industry as a whole. I am constantly amazed by the sort of product they have on offer - constant innovation in all sorts of areas such as weed management, plant protection, and other soil additives that might help with the growth of the product.

If I were to recommend Fernland to someone else in the industry or a new grower in the industry, I'd say they're a great business. They're a local business, they work very hard to improve their business all the time, they've got a great range of products, a good service, a good network of reps including Kevin, and I'd really give them about a 9 out of ten for the overall experience I have with dealing with Fernland.

One of Fernland's big advantages is they have a wonderful range of products. For an industry-based business like ours, where you can source fertilizers, chemicals, and a number of different horticultural products, that makes their offering so strong in the face of their competition because if it's a one-stop-shop, it saves a lot of time for a business like ours. After many years of dealing with Fernland, we've established quite a relationship with the business, and we wouldn't have that long extensive relationship with the business if it wasn't easy. The whole process of purchasing is easy, the deliveries are easy, the people are wonderful to deal with, and I just like to thank Fernland and all the staff for supporting our business over all these years, and we hope to continue that relationship into the future.
