DIRECTIONS FOR USE Restraints: DO NOT use on plants grown for human or animal consumption. DO NOT use this product in the home garden.

SITUATION* DISEASE RATE CRITICAL COMMENTS
Container grown seedlings, cuttings, transplants - pre-plant soil mix additive Control of damping off and root and stem diseases caused by the following fungi — Pythium, Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia and Thielaviopsis (Chalara) 60g /cubic metre Mix evenly into the soil/potting mix before sowing or transplanting. An even mix is essential for effective disease control. No dilution with water is necessary, but pre-mixing into a small sample of fine sand or the soil/potting mix before adding may assist even application. One treatment will give control for 4-8 weeks over the establishment or germination period. If longer protection is required then re-apply at 4-8 week intervals using a soil drench as described in the post plant soil drench section of this label.
Container grown seedlings, bedding plants, shrubs and other woody plants, and indoor plants - post plant soil drench 400-800g /100 square metres in approximately 1000 litres of water Measure the area covered by the pots/containers to be treated. Weigh out the amount of BANROT 400WP required to treat that area. Mix in sufficient volume of water to saturate the top 3-5cm of soil. 10 litres per square metre is given as a guide. Apply evenly over the measured area using a low pressure rose type applicator. Avoid pot overflow or leaching. Then irrigate with additional water equal to at least half of the volume of fungicidal drench to improve soil penetration. Re-apply at 4-8 week intervals depending on disease incidence. Use the lower rate when lower disease pressure is expected or for shorter treatment intervals and the higher rate for higher disease pressure.
In-ground bedding plants - post plant soil drench Apply as for container grown plants.
  • See general instructions for a list of plants suitable for treatment.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE OR IN ANY MANNER CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: • BANROT 400WP is a wettable powder formulation that can be applied alone as a dry dust or easily mixed with water. When using as a dry dust do not allow the product to become damp or poor distribution will result. Before using break up any lumps which may have formed. When mixing with water always add the powder to the water and not the other way around. Agitate with a paddle to ensure thorough mixing. Keep agitated when using to ensure even mixing and application. When mixed material is left for some time some settling will occur. This must be re-suspended by further mixing before using. Do not use spray that has been mixed with water for longer than 24 hours. • BANROT 400WP contains etridiazole which is active against Pythium and Phytophthora and thiophanate-methyl which is active against Rhizoctonia and Thielaviopsis (Chalara). • BANROT 400WP has been tested and shown to be safe when used as directed on a wide range of plants, including those listed in the following table. However it is not practical to test all plant types and varieties that may be treated with BANROT 400WP and therefore when other plants not listed are being treated, a small test should be conducted before treating large areas or numbers. • BANROT 400WP is suitable for greenhouse (glasshouse), shadehouse and outdoor use. • FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING - GROUP 1 14 FUNGICIDES BANROT 400WP contains members of the Benzimidazole and Unspecified (Thiadiazole) fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group 1 & 14 fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to the product and

other Group 1 & 14 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal populations if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by this product or other Group 1 & 14 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Scotts Australia Pty Ltd. accepts no liability for any loss that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant fungi.
