Description
SureFire SLAYER Organic Herbicide
Active Ingredient: 525 g/L Nonanoic Acid
SureFire SLAYER Organic Herbicide is a highly effective, non-selective herbicide designed to control a wide range of weed species. Its mode of action involves contact with the green parts of the plant, leading to rapid dehydration and collapse of the foliage. Visible results, such as browning and wilting, typically appear within hours of application.
Applications
- Outdoor Areas: Ideal for paths, driveways, gardens, areas around sheds, and nursery stock. It can effectively target seedling and young annual and perennial weeds, including fat hen, potato weed, stinking roger, couch grass, chickweed, lambs tongue, peppercress, capeweed, common storksbill, and clover. For more advanced or established weeds, repeated applications may be necessary for full control.
- General Uses: Suitable for use around buildings, commercial and industrial areas, domestic and public service areas, rights-of-way, bushland, and forests.
- Agricultural Areas: Perfect for orchards, vineyards, and fallow soil. It ensures comprehensive weed control when applied as a band spray 400 mm wide on each side of the orchard or vine crop row.
- Specific Situations: Effective in gardens, paths, rockeries, tiled roofs, walls, driveways, and around buildings for treating algae, lichen, liverwort, and moss.
Application Rates
- Outdoor Areas & General Uses: 70 mL per litre of water. Ensure complete coverage of the weed surface. Reapplication at around 7 days may be required if regrowth occurs.
- Agricultural Areas: Mix 7 litres per 100 litres of water. Apply 900-1400 L spray per hectare. Best results are achieved at the 4-8 leaf stage when weed canopy is less than 15 cm in height.
- Gardens and Paths: 70 mL per litre of water. For drives or heavy infestations, clean off by brushing after 3 days and reapply if necessary.
Critical Comments
- Outdoor Areas & General Uses: May damage lawn and turf when used as a spot spray. Perennial weed species may need repeated applications for long-term control. Avoid contact with crop foliage in protected cropping situations.
- Agricultural Areas: Apply at the early vegetative stage of weeds for optimal results. Repeat spray after 7 days if required. Ensure full foliage penetration and coverage for effective control.
- Gardens and Paths: For best results, ensure complete coverage of the plant surface.
Withholding Periods: No withholding period is necessary when used as directed.
Safety Information: Always refer to the label for specific information before application. Avoid spray drift to prevent unintended damage.
