Managing excessive turf growth can be time-consuming and costly for professional turf managers. Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous® offers an efficient solution by slowing turf growth while improving overall turf density, colour, and durability — resulting in a more uniform, manageable, and aesthetically pleasing playing surface.

Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous® is a plant growth regulator (PGR) containing 625 g/L Trinexapac-ethyl, formulated as a Schedule 5 micro-emulsion concentrate (MEC) that is petroleum and solvent free. It works by inhibiting late gibberellic acid biosynthesis, reducing vertical shoot elongation while promoting lateral stem and root mass development in both warm- and cool-season turfgrasses.

Mixing and Application Guidelines

  • Apply to actively growing turf, ideally 6 hours before or after mowing.

  • Use 200–500 L/ha of water with coarse droplets (e.g., AIXR11004 nozzles @ 8 km/h and 3 bar).

  • Reapply when turf growth resumes or further suppression is desired.

  • Use a growing degree day (GDD) calculator to fine-tune timing and avoid rebound growth.

  • Apply the lower rate when turf is under stress or approaching dormancy.

  • Avoid application following renovation or during recovery periods.

  • Adjust rate if used alongside DMI fungicides, which may have mild PGR effects.
