Growrite Pointed Hardwood Stakes
Solid mahogany hardwood stakes, pointed at one end so they drive straight into the ground without pre-drilling or digging. Exclusive to Growrite.
Mahogany is a dense, close-grained timber that holds up in the ground and resists splitting when knocked in — so you're not replacing stakes halfway through the season. The pointed tip saves real time when you're staking out a full block or a run of new plantings.
Choosing a size
Twelve sizes across four profiles, so you can match the stake to the job rather than over-spec'ing it:
- 11mm x 11mm (75cm, 120cm) — light-duty. Potted stock, tube stock, seedlings and nursery lines where you just need the plant held upright.
- 17mm x 17mm (105cm, 150cm) — the mid-range all-rounder. Young trees, shrubs, climbers and row marking.
- 25mm x 11mm (75cm, 90cm) — the flat profile makes these the pick for tree guards, where you need width to hold the sleeve or mesh open without the bulk of a square stake.
- 25mm x 25mm (90cm, 120cm, 150cm, 180cm, 210cm) — heavy-duty. Advanced and semi-advanced trees, windbreaks, netting and shade cloth frames, temporary fencing.
- 50mm x 25mm (60cm) — short and stout. Anchoring, edging and any job where you want mass in the ground rather than height above it.
The longer 25mm x 25mm sizes (180cm and 210cm) give you enough height above ground for advanced tree work while still leaving a decent bite in the soil.
