HOW TO USE Restraints DO NOT apply to turf under stress, newly seeded, newly laid turf or sprigged turf. Delay application until turf is at 100% cover and established with a root system developed beyond 3 cm depth. DO NOT apply if heavy rain has been forecast within 48 hours or to waterlogged soil. DO NOT water or irrigate to the point of runoff within 3 days of application. DO NOT apply in vegetable gardens or around fruit trees or sensitive plants. DO NOT apply to garden beds over the top of mulch. DO NOT apply to recently re-potted or newly potted seeds, cuttings divisions or plants. Allow a period of establishment to allow a substantial root system to develop. DO NOT plant seeds in treated soil for 6 months after application.
Apply BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent Herbicide before weed germination for preventative control of up to 6 months. Apply in early spring (summer weeds) or late summer to early autumn for Winter Grass. BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent Herbicide does not control weeds that have already germinated; therefore, a post-emergent herbicide should be applied to remove these weeds.

HOW TO PREPARE Mix BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent Herbicide as per the instructions below into a diluted mixture ready for application. If the diluted solution is left standing for some time, make sure you shake/agitate before use.
Mixing – Garden Sprayer
- Prior to opening, shake BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent bottle well.
- Add half the required amount of water to your garden sprayer.
- Add the required quantity of BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent to the half full garden sprayer.
- Add the remaining water required and ensure closed before agitating sprayer.
- Only mix sufficient spray solution for application area and for the day of mixing.
Mixing – Watering Can
- Prior to opening, shake BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent bottle well.
- Add half the required amount of water to your watering can.
- Add the required quantity of BARRICADE® Pre-Emergent to your watering can.
- Add the remaining water required and use the process to agitate the mixture.
- Only mix sufficient spray solution for application area and for the day of mixing.
HOW TO APPLY Lawn • Measure the lawn area before application to determine the size and make up enough mixture to apply over the area. • Evenly spray (or pour) the mixed solution over the area to be treated. • Lightly water in, within 24 hours of application. • Thoroughly clean all equipment after application. Empty and thoroughly rinse equipment such as sprayer, hoses, nozzles, and watering can with clean water.
Garden beds and potted plants • Measure the garden bed or potted plant area before application and make up enough mixture to apply to that area. • Apply prior to weed emergence (remove existing weeds) and ensure product is placed as close to soil surface as possible. Ensure product is applied before mulching. • Wash in immediately with a minimum of 3 mm rain or irrigation. • Thoroughly clean all equipment after application. Empty and thoroughly rinse equipment such as sprayer, hoses, nozzles, and watering can with clean water.

CAUTION DO NOT allow spray or drift to contact recently planted or non-established plants, or vegetable gardens. DO NOT allow chemical containers or spray to get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds. DO NOT replant any crop, ornamentals or overseed with cool season grasses for winter cover to treated areas for a period of 6 months after application. DO NOT allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. Dispose of empty container by wrapping in paper, placing in plastic bag and putting in garbage.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS May irritate the skin, will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When preparing product for use and using the product, wear safety glasses. If product or spray in eyes wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use. After each day’s use, wash safety glasses.
