STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. The container can be recycled if it is clean, dry, free of visible residues and has the drumMUSTER logo visible. Triple-rinse container for disposal. Dispose of rinsate or any undiluted chemical according to state legislative requirements. Wash outside of the container and the cap. Store cleaned container in a sheltered place with cap removed. It will then be acceptable for recycling at any drumMUSTER collection or similar container management program site. The cap should not be replaced, but may be taken separately. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.

Do not inhale spray mist. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Restraints DO NOT use on fine textured compacted clay soils without amelioration prior to treatment application. DO NOT apply if heavy rains or storms are forecast within 48 hours. DO NOT irrigate to the point of field runoff for at least 48 hours after application. DO NOT apply if rainfall imminent. The effect of this product could be diminished if rain falls within 6 hours of application. DO NOT apply to turf under heat or moisture stress. DO NOT apply by backpack. DO NOT apply by aircraft. DO NOT apply by vertical sprayer. DO NOT apply through any type of irrigation system or ultra low volume spray system. DO NOT apply more than 2 sprays per season in turf. DO NOT apply with a nozzle height greater than 50 cm above the ground.

SPRAY DRIFT RESTRAINTS Specific definitions for terms used in this section of the label can be found at DO NOT allow bystanders to come into contact with the spray cloud. DO NOT apply in a manner that may cause an unacceptable impact to native vegetation, agricultural crops, landscaped gardens and aquaculture production, or cause contamination of plant or livestock commodities, outside the application site from spray drift. The buffer zones in the relevant buffer zone table/s below provide guidance but may not be sufficient in all situations. Wherever possible, correctly use application equipment designed to reduce spray drift and apply when the wind direction is away from these sensitive areas. DO NOT apply unless the wind speed is between 3 and 20 kilometres per hour at the application site during the time of application. DO NOT apply if there are hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions present at the application site during the time of application. Surface temperature inversion conditions exist most evenings one to two hours before sunset and persist until one to two hours after sunrise.

DO NOT apply by a boom sprayer unless the following requirements are met: • Spray droplets are not smaller than a COARSE spray droplet size category. • Minimum distances between the application site and downwind sensitive areas are observed (see the following table titled ‘Buffer zones for boom sprayers’).

Spray when peak numbers (preventatively) or when first visual symptoms are observed (curatively) typically around late September to January. Early application is essential to minimise damage to turf due to feeding. Argentinian Scarab: A second application may be required to provide control.
African Black Beetle (Heteronychus arator) Apply at peak egg hatch (African Black Beetle – late September through to mid-November), or when small larvae are present. Ensure product placement as close to soil surface as possible. Preferably spray onto wet or dewy turf. Irrigate with at least 3 mm water commencing within 1 hour of application. DO NOT irrigate to the point of runoff. A second application may be required to provide control.
Ground pearl (Margoroides spp.) Apply when adults or crawlers are detected generally from early spring to the end of summer. Apply in 400 – 800 L/ha.
Couch Mite (Aceria cynodoniensis), Couch Fly (Delia urbana) Apply product in an early curative situation (after first symptoms are apparent). Apply in 400-800 L of water per hectare. Best results are achieved if applied as populations begin to build rather than at the peak of population growth. A second application may be required to provide control.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS TURF: DO NOT GRAZE TREATED TURF/LAWN OR FEED TURF/LAWN CLIPPINGS FROM ANY TREATED AREA TO POULTRY OR LIVESTOCK

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS ProForce SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED Insecticide is a combination insecticide providing contact and residual control of a wide range of insect pests in turf. Clothianidin, clofentezine and abamectin have different modes of action so together provide long term activity on a wide spectrum of pests.

MIXING Use only clean spraying equipment in good condition. Half fill the spray tank with clean water and commence agitation. Add the required quantity of product directly to the water, then add mixing partner and complete filling to the final volume. Spray immediately and maintain agitation throughout. DO NOT allow spray mixture to remain in the tank overnight or for long periods without agitation.

APPLICATION Apply by ground boom sprayer, low pressure hand wand or hand gun sprayer. To be effective SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED requires thorough spray coverage. Ensure that equipment is properly calibrated to give an even distribution at the correct volume. Application volume should be adequate to ensure thorough and even coverage of turf leaves with penetration into the crowns. Total application volume should be 400 to 800 L/ha. Use coarse droplets (e.g. Air Induction flat fan 025 to 04 nozzles). In higher cut turf (>15 mm) a significant spray shielding effect can occur, impacting negatively on spray penetration and even coverage at low application volumes.

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING For insecticide resistance management ProForce SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED Insecticide is a combination of Group 4A, Group 10A and Group 6 insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED and other Group 4A, Group 10A or Group 6 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED or other Group 4A, Group 10A or Group 6 insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since the occurrence of resistant insects is difficult to detect prior to use, Indigo Specialty Products Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED to control resistant insects. SCARLET TRIO ADVANCED may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. For further information contact your local supplier, Indigo Specialty Products representative or local agricultural department agronomist.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD General Public Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried.

Occupational Users Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried, unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day’s use.

PROTECTION OF HONEY BEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS Highly toxic to bees. Harmful to bee brood. Clothianidin has systemic action. DO NOT spray while bees are actively foraging. DO NOT allow spray drift to flowering weeds or flowering crops in the vicinity of the treatment area. Before spraying, notify beekeepers to move hives to a safe location with an untreated source of nectar and pollen, if there is potential for managed hives to be affected by the spray or spray drift. Risk to bees is reduced by spraying early morning and late evening while bees are not foraging. Residues may remain at levels toxic to bees for several days following application.

Integrated Pest Management Toxic to beneficial arthropods. Minimise spray drift to reduce harmful effects on beneficial arthropods outside the treatment area.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS DRIFT WARNING - DO NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment which could be expected to cause spray to drift onto adjacent, crops, crop lands, pastures or livestock.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT Very toxic to aquatic life. DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or used containers.
