Blue couch, common couch, bent, buffalo, and New Zealand Brown Top lawns and turf. Winter Grass (Poa annua) 150mL per 1000m² Apply 2-3 sprays spaced 10- 14 days apart in late winter to early spring. Apply as a fine mist spray in 50-100L of water per 1000m². For a full sized bowling green (38m x 38m) apply 210mL in 70L water. Apply before seed heads form. Can also be applied in Autumn and early Winter, although new germinations will have to be retreated. Apply when winter grass is becoming evident. One spray may be sufficient.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS This product is a selective post emergence herbicide formulated specifically for the control of winter grass. If used on turf heavily infested with winter grass it is important that a programme of sprigging and reseeding be carried out after the treatment. This product is not persistent in the soil and reseeding can take place 2 weeks after application. Large areas of dead winter grass may form a thatch that may be conducive to spread of turf diseases and it is important that a preventative disease control program be carried out also. Do not use when temperature exceeds 25°C. Do not use on Red Fescues or Kikuyu.

MIXING AND APPLICATION: POACHEK mixes readily with water. For best results use a boom spray application at a pressure and nozzle size that gives small droplets. Even and complete coverage is necessary. Do not use a wetting agent.

RESISTANT WEED WARNING: GROUP Z HERBICIDE Poachek is a member of the other modes of action group of herbicides. Poachek has an unknown mode of action. For weed resistance management Poachek is a Group K herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Poachek and other Group K herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weeds population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Poachek or other Group K herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Colin Campbell (Chemicals) Pty Ltd accepts no liability for ant losses that may result from the failure of Poachek to control resistant weeds.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS: DO NOT apply under weather conditions, or from spraying equipment, that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands or pastures.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK, WILDLIFE AND OTHERS: DO NOT allow stock to graze any treated plants. DO NOT graze treated turf/lawn: or feed turf/lawn clippings from any treated area to poultry or livestock.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT: Dangerous to fish and other aquatic organisms. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Product and spray poisonous if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale spray mist. When preparing the spray wear elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield or goggles. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each days use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles.

Additional hazard and precautionary statement required by WHS Harmful in contact with skin. Fatal if inhaled. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only outdoors or in a well ventilated area. Wear respiratory protection. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. IF INHALED : Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Not combustible. Use extinguishing media suited to burning materials. Store locked up.

FIRST AID: If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. If in eyes,hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and call a doctor.

CONDITIONS OF SALE: Agricultural, horticultural and pastoral preparations in their application involve varying factors such as differing conditions, soil, climate and methods of application over which Colin Campbell (Chemicals) Pty Ltd (Company) does not have control. Whilst the Company believes that all goods sold by it are true to label and are effective and safe for the purpose indicated, the Company expressly excludes all conditions, guarantees and warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, relating in any way to the goods and accepts no responsibility for any loss, harm or damage whatsoever suffered from the use of the goods for any purpose or purposes. Notwithstanding the foregoing, where any legislation implies any condition, guarantee or warranty (each, a Statutory Guarantee) and that legislation prohibits provisions excluding, restricting or modifying the application of, the exercise of a right conferred by or liability under such Statutory Guarantee, such Statutory Guarantee shall not be excluded. However the Company’s liability for any breach of such Statutory Guarantee shall, if permitted by that legislation, be limited at the Company’s option to the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods, or the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods.
