Osmocote® Plus Organics Vegetable, Tomato & Herb

Good for your plants, the soil and the environment Osmocote® has always been a friend of the environment with its unique controlled release formula. The soya bean oil resin coating controls the release of nutrients according to soil temperature. This reduces the amount of fertiliser required, as well as reducing leaching into the environment. It works in harmony with nature to give your plants the nutrients they need, just when they need them. Less in winter and more in active growing periods.

New Osmocote® Plus Organics also works to improve your soil structure and create stronger root systems:

  1. The added organic matter such as Composted Manure, Blood & Bone and Gypsum (clay breaker) rejuvenate the soil and encourage beneficial microbial and earthworm activity that improves soil structure. Active micro-organisms reduce the incidence of soil-borne disease and assist in nutrient uptake by plants.
  2. The inclusion of our own Wetting Agent improves water retention in the soil, allowing plants to thrive with less watering.
  3. The black granule is a unique slow release fertiliser derived from molasses, feeding sugars and nutrients into the soil and plant.

Plants will flourish from more effective delivery of moisture and nutrients to their stems and leaves. Osmocote® Plus Organics nurtures your plant both above and below the ground and by creating a balanced and sustainable growing environment, plants are healthier, stronger and less susceptible to insect attacks and diseases, season after season.

Osmocote® Plus Organics Vegetable, Tomato & Herb Plant Food gives your plants and soil everything needed to stay healthier for longer. It has high Calcium (Ca) to prevent blossom end rot of tomato and capsicum and added Phosphorus (P) to promote vigorous growth.

Directions for Use

Measuring scoop inside (1 scoop = 3 tablespoons)

Where to apply Rate (flat level scoops) How to apply at planting Established plants
Vegetables, tomatoes and herbs in-ground 3 scoops per m² Spread evenly over the garden bed and mix into the top 10cm of soil. Spread evenly over the garden bed.
Potted plants 30cm pot/¾ scoop 40cm pot/1½ scoops 60cm pot/2 scoops 90cm pot/3 scoops Mix through the potting mix. Apply evenly over the surface of the potting mix or mix through when repotting.

IMPORTANT: Water in thoroughly after each application and ensure the product is washed off the foliage.

When to Apply

Re-apply every 6 months. For best results, apply in early spring when new growth appears and late summer.

Warning

The dust from this product may irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact and inhalation of dust. Wash hands after use. If ingested, drink plenty of water. Seek medical advice if ingested in large quantities.

Precautions

Do not apply when temperatures exceed 30°C or when the soil is very dry and plants are suffering moisture stress. Do not apply in contact with plant stem/trunk.
