DIRECTIONS FOR USE
RESTRAINTS DO NOT mix Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide into potting media as poor weed control will be obtained and plant damage is likely. DO NOT apply Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide in windy conditions likely to affect good distribution. DO NOT broadcast Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide over wet foliage.

WEEDS CONTROLLED Weeds controlled by Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide include the following: Barley grass, Barnyard grass, Burr grass, Crowsfoot grass, Liverseed grass, Love grass, Pigeon grass, Rhodes grass, Rye grass, Stink grass, Summer grass, Winter grass, Amsinckia, Bladder ketmia, Blackberry nightshade, Caltrop, Capeweed, Chickweed, Creeping oxalis, Deadnettle, Fat hen, Fleabane, Flickweed, Giant pigweed, Mallow, Mimosa, Pigweed, Prickly lettuce, Red caustic creeper, Redshank (Amaranth), Shepherds purse, Soursob, Sowthistle, Staggerweed, Starrburr, Subterranean clover, Thornapple, White eye, Wild mustard, Wild radish, Wireweed, Willowherb
APPLICATION RATE 100 kg/ha or 1.0 kg/100 square metres or 10 g/square metre
CRITICAL COMMENTS Apply evenly over the area or pots to be treated preferably using a calibrated granule spreader. Apply to the surface of weed free soil preferably after cultivation or just after potting up. Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide will not control established weeds. Apply to dry foliage only and then sprinkler irrigate or hose (10-15 mm) to wash granules from foliage and incorporate the herbicide into the soil. Do not apply Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide to wet foliage – should this happen irrigate or hose immediately to remove granules from the leaf surface. Follow the precautions listed below to avoid unnecessary plant damage and to obtain optimum weed control. One application will last for 2-3 months depending upon rainfall, irrigation, soil type (potting mix), temperature and weed seed burden. Re-treat when the first signs of weed growth are seen but no sooner than 2 months and no later than 3 months after the first application. Do not apply Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide 2 weeks prior to or 2 weeks after leaf bud break or during periods of flush growth. Newly formed leaves are sensitive to this product. Spotting or leaf drop may results from these situations. Do not apply directly onto bare roots of woody ornamentals as injury may occur.

APPLICATION OF MACSPRED DISMISS™ ORNAMENTAL HERBICIDE POTS - Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide may be applied individually to each pot or pots can be grouped together and Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide distributed using a granule applicator or GLOVED hand. FIELD – distribute evenly over the area to be treated using a granule applicator or GLOVED hand. Ensure Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide does not stick to plant foliage or remain lodged in leaf axils or other plant structures. Application of 100 kg/ha of Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide is equivalent to 30/32 granules per 10 square centimetres (2 cm x 5 cm). Even application is important for good weed control. DO NOT disturb the soil surface once the product has been applied as the herbicide barrier will be broken and weed growth can occur.
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING GROUP D|G HERBICIDE Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide is a member of both the dinitroanaline and diphenyl ether groups of herbicides. Macspred Dismiss™ Ornamental Herbicide has a dual mode of action as an inhibitor of tubulin formation and an inhibitor of protoporphyrinogen oxidase. For weed resistance management the product is a Group D and G herbicide. Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to the product and other group D and G herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by this product or other group D and G herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Macspred Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds.
PRECAUTIONS: DO NOT apply to pots within 2 weeks of retail sale. DO NOT apply in enclosed glasshouse type structures or within 2 weeks prior to enclosure in such structures.
PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS DO NOT apply to whorl leaved plants as their leaves channel the herbicide granules to the leaf base making removal of the granules difficult. DO NOT apply under weather conditions, or from equipment, that may cause drift onto susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands or pastures.
PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK DO NOT graze any treated plant or cut for stock food or feed to poultry. DO NOT contaminate water used by livestock.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT Dangerous to wildlife, fish and other aquatic organisms. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the product or used container, or when cleaning equipment. DO NOT use product where fauna are foraging and are likely to feed on granules.
SPILLS Sweep up spilled material and return to original container. Wash contaminated equipment taking care that washings do not enter sewers, drains or other waterways. Dispose of waste according to the Australian Standard AS 2507 – Storage and Handling of Pesticides. DO NOT allow spilled product to enter sewers, drains, creeks or any other waterways.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Keep out of reach of children. Store in the closed original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Shake containers empty onto treatment site. Puncture or shred and deliver empty packaging for appropriate disposal to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant Local, State or Territory government regulations. DO NOT burn empty containers or product.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS Avoid contact with eyes and skin. DO NOT inhale dust, use a dust mask. If product on skin immediately wash the area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.
FIRST AID If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre (Phone Australia 13 11 26).

Macspred hereby gives notice to buyer and other users that it will not accept responsibility for any indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on product information or advice provided by Macspred or on its behalf unless it is established that such information or advice was provided negligently and that the product has been used strictly as directed. Macspred's liability shall in all circumstances be limited to replacement of the product or a refund of the purchase price paid therefor.
