Directions for Use

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Liquid Dek is a protectant fungicide for the control of certain fungus diseases in turf. For best results, apply as a regular spray programme. Thorough coverage of the treated crop is essential.

Mixing: Add the required amount of Liquid Dek to the spray tank containing half the required volume of water. Mix thoroughly and make up to the required volume of water.

Application: Use 660-1300L water/ha, increasing in heavy growth to ensure thorough coverage. Liquid Dek may be used as a ground application through boom sprays in low volume sprays by increasing the dosage accordingly.

Spray timing: Treatment should begin prior to disease infection and continue until the threat of disease has passed. Repeated applications are necessary to protect new plant growth. Reduce the spray interval when weather conditions favour disease development.

COMPATIBILITY: DO NOT combine with Bordeaux mixture or Lime Sulphur.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING: GROUP M3 FUNGICIDE

For fungicide resistance management Liquid Dek Fungicide is a Group M3 fungicide. Some naturally occuring individual fungi resistant to Liquid Dek fungicide and other Group M3 fungicide may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungi population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Liquid Dek Fungicide and other Group M3 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurance of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use. Colin Campbell (Chemicals) Pty. Ltd, accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Liquid Dek Fungicide to control resistant fungi

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT: Dangerous to fish. Do not contaminate ponds, streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used container. Drift and run off from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighbouring areas.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well-ventilated area, as cool as possible. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Keep away from fire and sparks. Users are reminded this product should be used before the stated expiry date. Triple or (preferably) pressure rinse container before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Will irritate the eyes, nose, throat and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling vapour or spray mist. When preparing the spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat and elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield or goggles. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash gloves and face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing.

FIRST AID: If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre (Telephone 131126). If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Give glass of water. Avoid giving alcohol.
