Growrite Coir Fibre Erosion Control Logs
Our Growrite Coir Fibre Erosion Control Logs are an eco-friendly and biodegradable solution, ideal for protecting the banks of ponds, streams, lakes, rivers, and areas impacted by contaminated shore waters. Made from durable coconut coir fibre, these logs offer a natural and effective method for erosion control, providing both immediate and long-term protection for vulnerable areas.
Coconut coir, derived from the husk of coconuts, is renowned for its exceptional water retention, durability, and ability to support vegetation growth. These logs create a natural barrier that stabilises soil, controls erosion, and promotes the establishment of new plant life, further reinforcing the integrity of the banks.
Ideal for revegetation projects, the Coir Rolls can be installed from the bottom of a waterway up to the edge of the bank, providing comprehensive protection from water erosion. Secured with wooden stakes, these logs remain stable even in areas with flowing water. As the coir naturally biodegrades over time, the area is left with a healthy, well-established vegetative buffer that continues to protect the banks.
