# Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous
PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR

## Introduction
Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous is a plant growth regulator
used to manage growth and improve quality and
stress tolerance of warm and cool season turf
grasses. It promotes rich colour and lateral stem
and root mass development, while inhibiting vertical
shoot growth. Helps produce healthy, durable blades
in turf grass.

## Key features
• Reduces the growth of grasses, reducing your time
with mowing.
• Mixes with water completely, and it can be used
with other pesticides and liquid fertilizers.
• Minimizes the need for edging of turfgrass along
sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, driveways, flower
beds, fences and around posts, outdoor furniture
and trees.
• Safe to use on a very broad range of turfgrass
species including Common and Hybrid Couch,
Bentgrass, Kikuyu, Queensland Blue Couch,
Carpetgrass, Buffalo, Bahiagrass, Zoysia, Fescues,
Perennial Ryegrass, Durban grass and Poa annua.
• May be used on all turf surfaces, including greens.
• In combination with certain herbicides, aids in
suppression of Bahiagrass seedheads.
• Schedule 5 micro emulsion concentrate (MEC)
formulation, that is petroleum solvent free.

## Application sites
Managed turf on golf courses (greens, tees and
fairways), bowling greens, sports fields, cemeteries,
median strips, golf bunker facing, path and garden
edging, roadsides and general grassed areas.

## Product information
**Active ingredient:**
625g/L Trinexapac-ethyl.
**Mode of action:**
Late gibberellic acid biosynthesis inhibitor (slows the
production of gibberellic acid, a plant hormone that
promotes cell elongation).
**Registered crops:**
All major warm and cool season turf varieties.

## Application information
**Application timing:**
Any time of year where growth regulation is
required, but generally during peak growth periods.
**Water volume:**
200-500L/ha.
**Spray quality:**
Course droplet, e.g. AIXR11004 nozzles @ 8km/h and
3 bar pressure.
**Re-entry period:**
When spray has dried on leaf.
**Rainfastness:**
1-3 hours.

## Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous
### Key Application Information
• The rates recommended on the label are designed
to give a 20 - 50% reduction in clippings over a 2 -
6 week period.
• In practice, the amount of growth regulation
achieved will vary due to environmental conditions
and turf management regimes.
• As a result, it is likely that application rates will
need adjustment to match growing conditions,
management practices and the quantity of growth
regulation required.
• Repeat applications can be made as soon as turf
resumes growth or more suppression is desired.
• Utilising a growing degree day (GDD) calculator
is a far more precise way to tailor the timing of
application, through avoiding overapplication
(from too closely overlapped applications),
or underapplication (which may result in an
undesirable and often untimely rebound effect).
• Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous should be applied to actively
growing turf, at least 6 hours before or after
mowing.
• Good mowing practices prior to application are
required to maximise performance and achieve
quality turf swards.
• Use the lower label rate in situations when turf is
going dormant due to high or low temperatures, or
lack of moisture.
• Avoid use during periods where turf recovery is
required (e.g. following renovations).
• Be aware that some fungicides, particularly
those from the DMI group, exhibit low level PGR
effects. Adjust rates of Quali-Pro® Marvel-ous
accordingly when using these fungicides to avoid
overregulation.
