Liquid spray marker dyes are added to tank mix sprays for the purpose of assisting in the clear identification of sprayed areas. Their main function is to improve the productivity & safety of pesticide spraying.

The benefits of the use of spray marker dyes are:
• Minimise the risk of missing areas, sections of paddocks or road strips which results in:
- Reduced weed control
- Reduced crop yield
• Minimise the risk of over spraying which can result in:
- Increased toxicity to non-target vegetation
- Increased cost of treatment
• Warning signal
- Alerts citizens in public places that pesticide has been applied

SST ENVIRODYE RED – an alternative spray marker dye!
The benefits of using Envirodye Red spray marker dye are:
• Non Toxic
- Low mammalian toxicity with no known hazards for normal use
• Good tinctorial strength
- Effective at relatively low dose rates 10-15ml/10Ltr
• Non-reactive & low staining
- Washes off hands and spray equipment much easier than Rhodamine based dyes.
• Excellent spray compatibility
- Envirodye Red is generally compatible with most common herbicides including phenoxys and glyphosates

The Problems with Rhodamine B Based Products
Toxicity
• Rhodamine B is listed on the State of California Proposition 65 Carcinogen List, a list of chemicals “known to the State to cause cancer”.
Highly Staining
• the substantive nature of Rhodamine B causes it to aggressively stain most surfaces and thus is very difficult to remove
Incompatibility
• the cationic nature of Rhodamine B causes it to react with many pesticides (MCPA, Glyphosate, 2,4-D Amine etc) resulting in agglomeration and blockage of spray nozzles which makes it unsuitable for many spray situations.

RATE:
10-15ml per 10Lts
100-150ml per 100Lts
Spray foam 40-80ml per 100L of diluted foam solution
